Paseo
July 15-17, 2022
2021 Sponsors
Working with a steering committee of BIPOC arts and social justice leaders, PPF developed Paseo to “bring downtown forward” with the creative energy of artists communities long disenfranchised or ambivalent about the economic hub of the region. This community gathering, July 15-17, 2022, will feature art, music, and health activities in our oldest parks, the South Park Blocks and Director Park.
Paseo celebrates and uplifts the voices and accomplishments of our city’s diverse artists, community advocates and mutual aid and grassroots parks groups. We hope to boldly awaken downtown by showcasing the power of community strength, creativity, and unity while not ignoring the very real change the streets of Downtown have seen in the last two years.
Paseo’s programming will encompass most artistic mediums — music, spoken word, theater, dance, visual arts installations, healthy living, and ways to get involved with Portland’s parks community. There will be food and market stalls/carts with a focus on BIPOC vendors. Woven into all will be tabling, info stations, and call-outs of various kinds — within the stalls and from the stages — to many of the participating mutual aid groups and non-profit organizations.
Sponsorships begin at $2,500 for this program, and we are currently accepting sponsors!
