Deepwood Museum & Gardens is a City Park located on 5 acres near downtown Salem. The estate features a stunning Queen Anne Victorian museum home, Carriage House, formal gardens designed by Elizabeth Lord & Edith Schryver, colorful border gardens, greenhouse and native species nature trails. Deepwood’s grounds change dramatically month to month and are accessible year round.

Must See Highlights: Tea House Garden, Scroll Garden and Great Room, Border Gardens, 125+ year old Quince Tree.
Admission Details: Garden Admission is Free. Museum Home tour: $6 and under (senior, child, student and AAA discounts). Gardens ADA accessible, but museum home has stairs to enter.

Volunteer Opportunities: We have volunteer opportunities in both the formal and border gardens. We welcome experienced gardeners and those wanting to learn. The two groups that coordinate the volunteer garden opportunities are the Lord & Schryver Conservancy and the Deepwood Gardeners. For other volunteer opportunities at Deepwood including the nature trail or the Museum Home contact the Friends of Deepwood.
