This May, Portlanders will cast their first votes to reshape City Hall.
With three open spots on City Council, there’s a lot at stake. With three open spots on City Council, there’s a lot at stake. The Portland Parks Foundation would like to provide a forum for Portlanders to learn our candidates’ views on parks, open space, and urban design.
6:30 pm, Monday, March 30 at Portland Center Stage at The Armory
General Admission. Ticket types: Free, $5, $10, or $20 donation (proceeds benefit the Portland Parks Foundation)
To select our panelists, we’ve invited each of the 20+ candidates to complete a questionnaire. A jury will then evaluate the answers, with the candidate names hidden, and select the top eight candidates for our forum.
In Portland, City Commissioners run bureaus, so any of these candidates might soon oversee city bureaus like Parks, Transportation, Planning and Sustainability, or any of the other agencies that shape the public spaces that, afterward, will shape Portlanders.
